Rule #1: Know Your Limits.
The beauty of this rule is its universality. It really can be applied to any situation. And for many people in this world, should be.
Rule #2: Don’t Buy Your Own Bullshit.
Essentially, your own press is the worst kind to believe because your press agent is biased.
Rule #3: A Hard Dick Has No Conscience.
Boy, I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about this one after college. Boy, was I fucking wrong.
Rule #4: People tell you who they are. Make sure you listen.
This is the one piece of my own advice I need to follow more often.
Rule #5: There is always an asshole.
In my experience, no matter where you or what you’re doing, there is more than likely someone who is acting like a jackass.
Rule #6: Make sure the asshole isn’t you.
I think this one is self-explanatory.
Rule #7: Never leave a good time looking for another.
In my experience, the second good time is never as much fun as the one I left.
